Welcoming our new graduates
A big welcome to our new trainees who joined us on 1st September!
The recruitment and professional development of the best people has always played an important role in supporting our growth and we are delighted that 24 graduates have joined our firm for the first step in their careers.

We caught up with Dhrishni Bakrania (Audit, Derby), Sunil Odedra (Tax, Derby) and Georgia Enderby (VAT, Nottingham) who joined us as 2024 graduates to find out more about their highlights so far and what they’re looking forward to...
Tell us about your favourite moment or event from the past 12 months
Dhrishni - One of my favourite events from the past 12 months was the audit team day at the Birmingham bake-off. Traveling is one of the main aspects of audit, as such it provides some difficulties for team members to meet-up. Some members might be on-site and some might be in-office. However, with our audit team day we can all see each other and have a memorable get-together.
When you start your job at PKFSC, you will realise that you have not met everyone in the team – that’s pretty normal. But within the first few weeks of starting there will be an audit team day where you can meet everyone! This is why the Birmingham bake-off was a favourite of mine. Whilst I am an avid baker (with a slight competitive side) this event was a day in which you could meet the whole team, have conversations, and have fun. And, of course, have a delicious slice of cake at the end of the day!
Sunil - Reflecting on the past year, my favourite event was definitely the tax team day social. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues outside of the usual work setting, and I really appreciated the chance to build stronger relationships with the team.
Georgia - Starting a new job has been a really positive experience so far. I’ve loved getting to know the team, finding my feet in a new environment, and diving into the day-to-day of the role including engaging in client meetings and meeting new people through my studies.
What are you looking forward to in the year ahead?
Dhrishni - An event that I am looking forward to in the next few months is the 40th anniversary Ball in September. Unlike our audit team day which is specific to the Derby branch, this Ball will have all the branches and regions. This will help you meet other members within your cohort as well as other graduates. It will be an amazing summer celebration in Goosedale, Nottingham.
Sunil - Looking ahead, I’m really excited about the upcoming 40th Anniversary celebration in September, and I’m looking forward to celebrating this milestone with everyone across the firm.
Georgia - I’m excited about what’s ahead, growing my skills, taking on new challenges, and for the 2025 PKF Smith Cooper anniversary party!
