International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 8th March and was formed as a day to recognise the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is a day to reflect on the progress made towards gender equality and to call for further action. This day is important to us because it is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of the incredible women in #TEAMPKFSC and in our communities, and to reaffirm our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable world.

We would love to take this opportunity to say Happy International Women’s Day to all at #TEAMPKFSC! We caught up with a couple of our team members to find out how they think we can inspire inclusion within our communities:

“For much of my career female Partners have been in the minority, albeit things are improving. Women seeing other women in leadership positions inspires others and provides a sense of belonging. “By understanding that what makes us different, makes us stronger. Think about intersectional feminism. As women, we will often experience the same things, simply for being women, but my experiences as a 40+ woman who is ethnically white will differ from someone who is Asian and in their 30’s. A lunchtime pamper session

To celebrate IWD in our offices, we invited women from across the firm to join us for a pamper session! Focussing on cruelty free, natural and organic skincare beauty products from Neal’s Yard, the afternoon was a lovely opportunity for our team members to try something different, catch up with colleagues and relax!
