Technical Audit & Compliance Manager
Location: Birmingham, Derby or Nottingham
Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours) or Part-time (22.5 hours +)
Salary: Dependent on experience

This role is an excellent fit for someone with a keen interest in audit quality and compliance and who enjoys collaborating with key internal stakeholders. It presents an exciting opportunity to join a thriving audit department that is central to our offerings.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for providing technical audit and accounting support for the audit team, providing proactive support to the audit team on the use of data analytics, contributing to the design and delivery of our firm’s audit technical training programme, and completing hot and cold file reviews as part of the firm’s audit monitoring activities. The firm actively develops its audit practice, exploring ways to support clients and teams. You will be involved in projects to support this development, including the use of technology in our audit processes. You will be an integral part of the team, maintaining the firm’s audit quality and compliance. As you will be supporting our Nottingham, Derby and Birmingham offices, some travel will be required. This is a hybrid role in line with the firm’s flexible working policy
The ideal candidate will hold an ACA or ACCA qualification and have a good all-round level of audit and accounting knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of IFRS would be beneficial, but not essential.
The important things you will be doing:
Responsible for dealing with audit and accounting technical queries
Conducting internal hot and cold file reviews
Assisting with updates to the firm’s audit methodology, including the use of data analytics
Supporting the firm’s technical training programme
Supporting internal ad-hoc audit-related projects
The skills and experience you will bring:
Be a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant – or equivalent
Experience in performing file reviews to ensure compliance with UK auditing standards
Strong UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
Excellent written and communication skills
