PKF Smith Cooper is seeking a Transaction Services Assistant Manager to join their award-winning team at the head offices in Derby.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to advance in their career. The role comes at a time of growth for the firm and offers the chance to be mentored by experienced Transaction Services and advisory professionals, with our firm known for its proven track record of developing team members.
Our advisory team consists of experts with backgrounds in banking, corporate finance, tax, recovery and insolvency. We work for banks, private equity and trade buyers both buy and sell side primarily in the UK. Our assignments can range in size from 2-3 day reviews to several months, depending on the size of the transaction and the risk involved. We have been formally recognised by professional bodies multiple times, including winning Midlands SME Advisory Team of the Year four times since 2016, Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year in 2019, and Regional Insolvency Team of the Year in 2018.
The important work you will be doing:
- Support the TS team in expanding the current client portfolio to facilitate the potential for larger and more diverse projects.
- Conduct on-site due diligence work in collaboration with TAS management.
- Develop high-quality financial models.
- Produce high-quality written reports.
- Conduct meetings with client and target management, initially alongside TS management.
The skills and experience you will bring:
- ACA Part-qualified or qualified accountant
- To be an advanced Excel user
- To show a desire to learn about the underlying transactions we are involved in and become part of the corporate finance community
