Tax Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity available for an ambitious individual who is looking to gain an in-depth understanding of Personal Tax and join our growing, yet established Tax Department.
Location: Ashbourne.
Contract: Full-time, permanent. We will also consider part-time hours, 3-4 days at minimum is preferred.

We have an exciting opportunity available for an ambitious individual who is looking to gain an in-depth understanding of Personal Tax and join our growing yet established Tax Department.
As a Tax Assistant your role will involve working with a wide variety of personal tax clients including high net worth individuals, company directors and sole traders, who’s personal tax affairs you will be responsible for, from ensuring that all compliance work is completed accurately and efficiently, through to the preparation of personal tax computations and returns.
The important work you will be doing:
- Assist in the preparation of income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance returns for clients including individuals, partnerships, trusts and limited companies.
- Assist in the preparation of P11D returns.
- Liaise with HMRC and other professionals regarding client affairs.
- Support with the day-to-day tax administration of clients.
- Assist the Tax Partner and Senior Manager with advisory projects when appropriate – both personal tax compliance and non-complex tax advice/tax projects as required.
The skills and experience you will bring:
- 1 years’ of relevant experience, and part-qualified ATT (and committed to pursuing a career in tax).
- An intermediate level of IT competency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- A high level of initiative and the confidence to ask for support when required.
- The ability to multi-task.
